Fearless Kitty Rescue
Running a cat and kitten rescue requires a lot of things: litter, medical care, volunteers, space, and most importantly, a lot of food. When running a non-profit, 100% volunteer organization, rescues don’t always have the funding to pay for everything that’s needed. And yet, due to their dedication to animals, rescues continue to do their best with the resources they have. Many rescue groups are dependent on the generosity of others, particularly when it comes to food.
Between PetFlow’s Good Deed program, which provides a bowl of food to a pet in need for every box shipped, and Wellness, who pledged to donate an additional bowl of food for every WellPet product bought through PetFlow this past spring, thousands of pounds of dry and wet cat food were donated to Fearless Kitty Rescue and other rescue animal organizations.
Sarah and Copeland’s Story
On a chilly day in February, 2016 Copeland was found wandering the streets with her mother and 4 siblings. Copeland was a street kitty that arrived to Fearless Kitty Rescue undernourished. She needed a good quality food, kitten food to be exact, to help her develop into a healthy adult cat. With several hearty Wellness meals, lots of love and attention, Copeland began to grow both in size and personality. Now, several months later, Copeland cannot wait to meet her furever family and leave her street days behind her.
Sarah arrived to the Fearless Kitty Rescue due to circumstances out of everyone’s control. Her owner was nearing the end of her life, and being on hospice, was unable to care properly for Sarah. Sarah, although well cared for, was under a lot of stress after losing the only home and person she had ever known. The primary fear was that this stress would cause her to stop eating. Luckily, due to the loving care from the staff and volunteers at Fearless Kitty Rescue, Sarah has adjusted well and is looking forward to finding a family that will continue to love and care for her.
Thanks for Your Continued Support
For both of these kitties, the Wellness food they received through donations have played a critical role in their physical health and mental well-being. The donations Sarah and Copeland received were made possible through the purchases you made at PetFlow. We love helping pets on their way to finding their furever home. Thank you for being part of their journey.
